After two weeks of being off and being a bum, it was time to return to work. Actually I am happy I got to go back because it gave me the chance to put in some exercise three times this week, start weight watchers, and other things.
My twin had some news that I admit I was taken aback by. Her 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with Precocious Puberty. Which means, I think, early onset of puberty. In my mind I think how could that be, we do not know of anyone in the family or in the African-American community with this ailment. Do not get me wrong, I understand it can happen, but it is just not something we are familiar with. Normally, when this type of thing is seen “we” tend to brush it off, and assume its the food, or say, she just eats a lot or her family is tall/ big. As a result, I think that is why we never “hear” about it. With the bit of research I have done, I know it is more genetics.
The great news is that my sis was diligent and knew that something was wrong so she pressed on, which is great. My niece is doing well and has no idea what is going on, which, in my opinion, is a good thing. I am not sure of the full course of treatment, but it will come in the coming weeks.
Overall, Not bad. 🙂
