The day started about 7:00 AM in West Palm Beach. We checked out of the hotel and headed for Winter Haven, Fl, the location for LegoLand Florida.
We arrived about 10:30 AM, and the first thing I noticed was that the parking lot was pretty empty. I am sure that it was because it was so early in the morning. Being a Disney expert, I am used to filled-to-the-rim parking and trams. Parking was $12 (pretty standard for theme park parking). You could park in the Preferred Parking for $20. I have to say that, while $20 is not that bad, the parking is designed in a way that dictates that there are no bad parking spots and they are all pretty close to the entrance of the park. The park entrance fee was $75 for adults, but we did have a buy one, get a child free ticket, so that helped.
The kids truly enjoyed the park. Myself and my 3 year old split from my husband and 9 year old, because there were some rides my little one could not ride. This was not an issue, because they had plenty for him to ride and do, so that helped. There are lots of things to see and do. It is not like the normal theme park experience, but gives the customers a different experience to just sit back and truly relax and enjoy the scenery. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
It was perfect for my family, although, I am unsure if an older child would enjoy it the way my kids have. We spent about 4 hours at the park, which was plenty for us. I suspect, that it could easily be an all day event, but its not likely to be over a 5 hour stay. The lines are not long at all, and everything was accessible.
Overall, I really liked it!! Here are some pictures:
