Wow! My first RunDisney Event will be taking place Saturday September 29, 2012. The event is the Tower of Terror Inaugural 10 Miler Race. I admit that I haven’t done as much as I should have in the way of training (lately), but I think that I am ready. Will I run the entire 10 miles? Probably not, however, it is important to finish the race, one way or another. :o)
For this trip, I will meet up with a few DisFriends, who are also participating. I have to keep telling myself, that this is a good time to rest and recharge.
I have a few plans once I arrive. My first stop will be registration at Disney’s Wide World of Sports. After that, the plan is to check in, eat and rest a bit before the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party later that night. I will do a bit of trick or treating, and a bit of rides (the kids will appreciate it, once I get home). The next day, the plan is to take it easy during the day, to prepare for the race. I will play it by ear.
When I turned 40 (this year), it was important for me to get healthier, and I promised (myself) that I would do something to commemorate this milestone. This is that celebration!!
