You know it’s interesting how your kids are constant motivators.
This morning, my 10 year old daughter and I went for a run. I am (and have been) in training to run The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-miler, September 29, 2012 at Disney Hollywood Studios. This will be my first run ever, and I am not sure if I will “run” the entire race, but I will definitely finish :-). I will report more on this later.
We arrived at the park and my daughter starts off running, while I began to run at a slow and steady pace. She plays soccer and has so much energy and stamina (the life of a 10 year old). Just being with my daughter, motivated me to continue my run without “walk” breaks. We only completed 1.52 miles, but it was a good start, because I havent been running in about two weeks. 😀
I am so proud of myself, but much more proud of her for keeping me going. I think that the key is to find what motivates you, and keep it close.
