Next month, we will embark on yet another family vacation to Walt Disney World Resort and sailing away on the Disney Dream on the Disney Cruise Line. For us, it is truly our happy place and I cannot image a summer vacation without at least one day in the theme parks. Every year, I try to plan something different for my family to experience and I think that this year we will take some time to do some additional exploring while we are in the area.
The first (FIRST) on our list is the Crayola Experience – Orlando located in the Florida Mall (which we have never visited). Sadly, the attraction portion of the experience does not open until July 1, 2015, but we will visit the actual retail store, and according some of the reviews I have seen, it is so colorful and still looks like a fun atmosphere. Once the attraction opens, it will contain everything that one will need to have an awesome time with family including grabbing a bite to eat at the Cafe Crayola. We will definitely go back and experience it during our next Orlando visit.
Our next first, just might be a visit to the Sea Life Aquarium in Orlando located on International Drive. This is technically not our first visit to the Sea Life Aquarium because we were annual passholders in Grapevine, Texas. My family loves all sea life and for some reason, my children get mesmerized just looking at all that an aquarium has to offer. The Sea Life Aquarium offers the same 360 Degree Ocean Tunnel that we’ve experienced before, but it seems to have some other fun elements that will make it a fun experience.
Here are two photos from one of our Sea Life Aquarium Grapevine visits:
There are so many other things to experience in Orlando, Florida including new The Orlando Eye. Personally, it is not my kind of fun (though my husband and children want to experience it) but we will see. I think that the word one might use is “chicken?” There is an “i” in chicken right? :o).
In addition to scoring a $25 Groupon gift card, I found that Characters in Flight…Operated by Aerophile in the Downtown Disney Area was offering a Groupon special that I could not pass up. As many times as we have visited Walt Disney World, never have we experienced this attraction (mostly because “someone” is unsure). However, with my gift card and the discounted Groupon special, I paid $20 for four to experience Characters in Flight, so there went my excuse. I know what you are saying, how can I experience this and not The Orlando Eye. Well, that time has not arrived, and there is no guarantee that I will proceed as planned. Notice I said “I” and not the rest of my family- lol.
I cannot wait to share the outcome of our vacation once we return. I am sure that it will be a great time had by all!
