On-The-Go with Cars…What Fun!

Speaking of on-the-go activities, have you heard of the Disney Cars Daredevil Garage app that can interact with actual Radiator Springs Story Sets and exclusive Die Cast vehicles? When you think of vehicles such as the Hudson Hornet, Antonio Veloce Eccellente, and the Green Ramone, I know that you think of the Disney Pixar Cars movie. Raise your hand if you are a fan! I know that I am and so is the rest of my family.

What makes it even better is that you can actually purchase the Exclusive Die-Cast vehicle characters Hudson Hornet, Antonio Veloce Eccellente, the Green Ramone and other Cars products and vehicles at Toys “R” Us, which is an easy and convenient location (if you ask me).  You are probably wondering where to find these Cars products when you enter your local Toy “R” Us store. They are actually on one side of the aisle all to themselves with other Disney products (Planes, Fire  & Rescue). I am not sure if it is the same for your store, but surely it might be close enough.

So that the kids can enjoy the Radiator Springs Story Set, I am giving them a cookie sheet (from our local Dollar Store) so that they can play with the vehicles on a flat smooth surface while we are on the move. This is also a great idea to take it to the soccer and hockey practices to keep them busy while the other one is busy with their activity (especially my youngest child). What is great about the cookie sheet is the raised edges on the sides so the cars can’t “escape” and I can keep them in one location.                 

Wait, I mentioned the Disney Cars Daredevil Garage app. It is currently available from the Apple iTunes Store for use with your iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus in addition to the iPad and iPod touch. The app was released July 30, 2015 and we have been enjoying it since then. With our road trip to Austin, Texas planned this week, we will have our Apple devices in tow so that we can enjoy the Disney Cars Daredevil Garage app.

You are probably wondering how to find and download the app, right? I will walk you through it with a few screen shots from my phone.

Once the game begins, you will be able to play the game and boost your cars so that they can do some epic stunts and in return you gain more stars. What makes this a winner is that you are able to scan your purchased Die-Cast vehicles so that they can be played within the game (How cool is that?). All you do is scan your vehicle and wait for the green check mark. Then your vehicle will appear in the gallery and will be ready when you are ready to play with it. Please note that when purchasing your die-cast vehicles, the packaging will include the Free Download logo. This is important so that your die-cast vehicles will be able to be scanned properly into the game. (I included a screenshot from my phone for reference)
