When you purchase participating PEDIGREE® products from your local Sam’s Club, a bowl of food will be donated from the PEDIGREE® brand during the month of October. Wait, I can’t discuss PEDIGREE® products without discussing our little diva Numberly!
funny how much joy the perfect dog can bring to your life. Growing up, we did
not have dogs in our household, but my husband did. I remember wanting one, but
alas that void would not be filled until later in life for me. Fast forward to
kids excited and take away the sting of some occurrences that happened in the
past year. It hit me… it was time for a dog! After a bit of research, I had to convince my husband (who by the way, was 100% against having a dog) why we needed needed to add a dog to our family. I called
him while he was driving home, and said, “I think that it is time for a dog”. He said, “Nope, no way, we do not need a dog”.
He then proceeded to give me all the reasons why we were NOT going to get a
dog and put his foot down. Of course, while he was talking, I was on the computer still
searching (ha ha). I guess fate intervened and about an hour later he called back and
said, “I guess they can have a dog, but I do not want a little dog and the kids
are going to care for it, not me”. Not wanting to argue, I quickly agreed and
by the end of the day, we decided upon a Boston Terrier. I found a breeder in
Oklahoma and about 4 weeks later, we picked up our Numberly and brought her
What makes this so funny is that the one person that said
that he wanted nothing to do with the dog, is one of the main primary
caregivers of our Numberly. He understands what her barks mean, he knows when
she needs to go outside, and he plays with her when no one is home. My husband
really loves and cares for our Numberly along with my children and I, but I get
the feeling that he thinks that she belongs to him. He’s a big softie.
