Ahhh! The joys of hearing your two children argue early in the morning before school. I know what you are thinking…. I allowed my two to argue without intervening? The answer is yes, and I am glad that I did.
To be honest, I have no idea what the argument was about, but I assume that it was intense, because they got loud with each other. My first thought was to say, “Hey, have you guys lost your minds?”. But then something said to leave it alone and they will resolve it on their own. Guess what? The argument stopped within 5 minutes, and they were speaking quite civil to one another.
I learned that it is not necessary to stop an argument between these two, because with time, they will understand and resolve the issue themselves.
Having said all of this, it does not mean that I will not intervene at all in the future, but I have to give them a chance to make it better on their own.
