My family and I are currently on our very first 7-Night Disney Fantasy Cruise to Tortola, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay! (Well actually we are in day four of our seven night cruise).
We are a “shorter cruise” family and have always prided ourselves on including other activities in our
vacation plans (such as a Walt Disney World Resort vacation or just hanging out). This time, after much deliberation, we decided it would be best to try
out a 7-night cruise, just to see how it goes.

After the last 4 days, I can see what all the hype is about, so I wanted to share MY 7 reasons to opt for a 7 night cruise.
- It’s 7 nights and when I do the math, it is way more than 3 or 4, so that it a plus.
- On average, that is at least 21 meals, as opposed to 9 or 12. I am not counting the extra snacks and room service, so that could mean even more on a 7-night cruise.
- To keep families, adults and children occupied there are more shows, activities and entertainment.
- We can actually unpack. Normally, we live out of a suitcase, but this time, unpacking was necessary.
- More days to plan activities for the children, so that you can spend some quiet time enjoying the spa (like I did).
- More port stops so that you can experience different geographic locations and different shopping excursions.
- More days to do absolutely NOTHING!
The decision has been made and we will probably do more 7-Night (minimum) cruises, because at this point, it is hard to imagine anything less.
I’ll share more about our vacation with you soon!
Until Next Time!
