I don’t know about you, but buying a car for one reason or another is a necessity and it’s important to be aware of what options are available. Aside from make, model, color, whether to buy new or used, etc., I think that there are some other things to consider. That is where sites such as Cars.com and it’s advanced search feature takes center stage.
Let’s discuss the top three features, I think you should consider for your next car purchase.
- Mileage – mileage is important because the number of miles can be a determining factor as to whether or not a specific vehicle is a good purchase or not. For example, you have two vehicles that are the same make and model, but one is a 2014 sedan with 42,000 miles for $5000 less than the other vehicle (same make and model) a 2016 with 22,000 miles on it. Which would you choose?
- Automatic or Manual Transmission. Determine if paying a lower price is beneficial for you. In my experience, a manual transmission is somewhat lower in price. Personally, I am not a fan of the manual transmission vehicles, mostly because I never learned to drive one. Having said that, I know many individuals that own manual vehicles and love them.
- Car Seat Safety is important especially if you have a young family or transport young children at any point. My children are a bit older so we are officially out of the car seat phase, however I have friends that have young ones, so when they ride with me, I want them to be safe. Cars.com has Car Seat Check which features “Certified child passenger safety technicians that conduct hands-on tests of a car’s Latch system and check the vehicle’s ability to accommodate different types of car seats”. There are many additional features that can be considered when the time comes to make your vehicle purchases. The great thing is that there are sites like Cars.com out there to assist with car buying process.
Until Next Time!
