My family and I will be embarking on our 10th Disney Cruise Line Cruise on the Disney Dream. I do not think excited is the word that I would use to describe how we are feeling at this moment.
Not only is it our 10th Cruise, but it will also be the first time my husband and I take advantage of the adult amenities the cruise has to offer. Honestly, we have never visited the adult-only spaces to enjoy the atmosphere but that will all change. We will have a preteen and teenager in tow, but because Disney Cruise Line offers so much for the entire family to enjoy separately, this is going to be a special adventure of firsts.
Would it be appropriate to say that we began packing a few weeks ago? I know that was slightly early, but there is much to plan for because, before our cruise, we will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort. Also, we are participating in the Fish Extender Exchange with some wonderful families.
Speaking of Fish Extender exchange, I have prepared a series of gifts for the participants within my group and decided to take a practical approach to include some DIY and necessity items. The gifts aren’t expensive but we did put some thought into what we would give. Here’s what we are gifting:
- DIY’d Chalkboard Hanger & Bathroom Essentials Pack for the bathroom for the family.
We created the board by cutting plywood into 6X8 inch rectangles and sanded the edges. From there, we painted the board with chalkboard paint and then we drilled holes and attached twine to allow it to hang.
The bathroom essential pack includes chalkboard pen, toilet spray, hand sanitizer and sanitizing hand wipes for the family.
- DIY’d Paracord Bracelet
Using a Washer attached in Mickey (inspired) colors for the young lady’s. First, we engraved the individual names of each girl onto each washer. Then we used black and red Paracord cut into 12-inch strips and threaded each through the washer and threaded one bead to each side of the cord and tied each into a knot. From there, the girls will only need to tie the bracelet to their wrist.
- Paracord Bracelet that represents the colors of the favorite characters of the young men in the group. Believe it or not, we bought these for $1 at Home Depot.
We will be leaving soon and while we are away, I will be sharing a lot of our adventures via social media and I hope you will follow along.
Until Next Time!
