I remember Chuck E. Cheese Pizza growing up but I never got to experience it fully until I became an adult and had my own children (now 16 and 10 years old). The present-day Chuck E. Cheese’s is not the same Chuck E. Cheese’s I remember, it is so much better and I am happy to see the changes first hand. I remember a few years back, Chuck E Cheese’s made changes to their menu and I think that was a great direction to go in.
To celebrate the belated birthday of our 10-year-old son, I had the pleasure of experiencing the VIP Birthday Party! We had a grand time and because of that, I want to provide a few reasons you should consider Chuck E. Cheese’s as a birthday party destination for your children.
Birthdays With All You Can Play!
We purchased the Mega Super Star Birthday Package, which included All You Can Play games for each child in our party (and even some adults). The birthday packages start at $14.99 per child and you can upgrade to All You Can Play for only $3 more per kid. With an All You Can Play, our party guests got to play all games they want in the timeframe we chose.
The birthday boy even had the chance to win the Magic Ticket when he stepped into the Ticket Blaster! Each Magic Ticket is worth 500 tickets redeemable for fun prizes at our merchandise counter. Talk about fun!
VIP Birthday Party
You can reserve your VIP Party on Saturday or Sunday for your and get the whole party area to yourself at the earliest timeslot before the restaurant opens, for one hour! Trust me, this is the route to go. I had no idea that this type of party was even available and I became more intrigued as a result. For this party, I reserved it for Saturday morning at 8:00 AM and I know what you are thinking, was it worth it? Absolutely! We got the entire place to ourselves and had full run of the place before they opened to the public and it even included unlimited gameplay during that time. Can you say unlimited games without the wait?
Ease and “One-Stop Shopping”
I am all about convenience and with the party I reserved, I was able to skip the party store and bakery – Chuck E. Cheese’s did all of the set up for our , from the food to the goody bags and balloons to cake!
The only thing I brought with me was us and thankfully our party host did a fantastic job with the rest. I allowed him to surprise me with choices and we couldn’t have been happier. I even ordered food for the adults. It was not only convenient but was also a great value (when your party time is up, you’re done – it’s that easy)!
Reserving the party online was free and it even provided access to free customizable email invites. Did you know that you can also customize your party the way you see fit? Another birthday girl was arriving as we were leaving and her parents brought their own goodie bags and decorations and I thought that was a nice touch. You can use anything to make the birthday party your own and they are fine with that.
I will admit, I have always thought of Chuck E. Cheese’s as a party location for younger children (under 7), but I WAS WRONG! After this experience, I now realize that it is not just a great place for birthday parties but it is a great choice for birthday parties for kids of all ages (8 to adult). The classic and video games are appropriate and they provided plenty of action for everyone to just let their hair down and enjoy themselves. Of course, collecting all of the tickets to be redeemed didn’t hurt either.
