If you follow me on Instagram, a few days ago I announced (posted) that my family and I will be “glamping” a couple days this summer at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins. I do not think that you understand just how much I have always wanted to do this, even though I am not much of a “nature” girl.
I wanted to stop in to quickly share information I just learned when I called to reserve a golf cart.
First Golf Cart Rental
While doing my research, I found out that it was a good idea to rent a golf cart in advanced to ensure one is available when you arrive. The property is really oversized and we want to see everything in the time we have allotted there.
I called (407) 824-2742 and spoke with Guest Services who explained everything to me in detail. To reserve the golf cart, they needed a credit card to hold it, but your card could be charged the full amount about 3 days prior to arrival.
Details About The Cart
The golf cart will hold up to 4 adults and maybe 5, if you have a very small child that can sit between two adults. Not the case in our family because we are a family of four. All drivers will need to be present to sign the paperwork and provide their drivers license. The drivers must be 16 years or older (with a license) to drive the golf cart. Again, not a problem since my husband and I are slightly older than 16. Pick up time is after 1:00pm on the day of arrival and is due no later than 11:00am on the date of departure. The current cost to rent a golf cart is $59 a day.
The summer can’t come soon enough. Sadly, we will only enjoy our stay for two nights (and then resort hop to another resort). I would love to stay longer, but you never know how things will work out. By the way, I used my DVC points to reserve the cabin. I will update you on my stay when we return.
Until Next Time!
