My husband and I saw the advanced screening of the amazing film, Avengers: Infinity War! I am still in awe and quite frankly somewhat speechless to all that we experienced. I do not think a single movie has ever taken me through so many different emotions. Why did Marvel do that?! BUT… because Thanos has Demanded My Silence, there will be absolutely NO spoilers within this review, and I understand why. Even my kids are begging for details, and I told them that this is one film I want them to see and experience for themselves. Besides, we see the movie the day it opens so, they can wait, right?
Everybody, Everybody!
Just about all of the Marvel heroes we have grown to love, appear in this film. Wow!! I have my personal favorites (Iron Man and Loki, for example) but I LOVED what each brought to the movie. So many different heroes working together for the good of the universe. That’s the stuff great films are made of!
My family and I often debate about our favorites and it seems to change depending on the movie being released at the time. Having said that, my 9-year-old has remained true in his conviction. He is Team Iron Man and Spider-Man all the way. So we will see if it changes when he sees it this week. How about you? Who is your favorite?
Thanos
The fact that we get to see Thanos in all his glory is really exhilarating and yet confusing at the same time. Personally, I feel that he might be slightly misunderstood. You think? No? Well, I just had to ask. As we all know, the Infinity Stones play a huge part in the entire storyline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so having that knowledge, I can see why they are important to him. Nevertheless, he is who he is.
What About The Kids?
This is a tough one. The movie contains actions sequences with a lot going on at once and some bad language (but nothing too severe, in my opinion). Parents know their children and what they can and can’t handle. Personally, my youngest is 9 and he has seen every movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that started when he was 4 years old with Iron Man (on DVD) and he has been a fan ever since!! Depending on your child (their age, maturity, etc.) it might be a good idea to have them to sit this one out (until it hits DVD) so that you can monitor the content if you feel it’s a concern. Just keep in mind that the movie is rated PG-13.
What I Did Not Enjoy!
The parts that had me in my feelings was what I did not enjoy. That is not a negative thing, but it was a rollercoaster of feelings. To top it off… Part 2 won’t be released until May 3, 2019!!! That is way too far away (just sayin’). But alas.. #NoSpoilers
Overall
The movie is everything you think it should be and more. I have talked before about the writing and the writers and this time is no different. Whoever the writers are, I am almost positive they are comedic writers because it contained the perfect one-liners that landed perfectly. I was laughing and talking to the screen at the same time. The actors did a phenomenal job and played their perspective parts brilliantly. The action sequences were spectacular and will keep you on the edge of your seat. I can not lie, I was confused at some parts, but I quickly recovered to the normal “ahh..gotcha”. Everything from the storyline to the characters, to the visual imagery, works perfectly together and they were able to ensure that you will not want to blink or turn away. I held my breath in anticipation and.. I am so ready for 2019!!
One Suggestion!
If you have not seen The Avengers, Avengers: Age Of Ultron or even Captain America: Civil War, do your best to see those three before embarking on Avengers: Infinity War, just so that you will not be lost.
Infinity War (inspired) Gauntlet (DIY)
Wait! I almost forgot! I want to share one last thing… a quick DIY.
Speaking of Thanos, to celebrate his gauntlet, my son wanted a gauntlet of his own, complete with “the” stones. Because it is way more fun, we created our own version of Infinity War Gauntlet. To top it off, we created it for under $5.
Really quick… here’s how we did it.
Check out the finished product!
See there you go! Now he has what he needs to celebrate this week! I think that my husband and I deserve the “best&cool parents” award.
Now!!! There’s nothing else to see here, Go See it for yourself and be sure to visit their social media channels for more information.
