I was provided 2 complimentary Park Hopper tickets to facilitate my review. All photos and opinions are my own.
People often ask… haven’t you been to “Disney” enough? My answer to that… “nope, I do not think I have been enough”! There is always something new to explore and with all the recent and soon-to-be expansions, there will be plenty of new experiences for my family and me to look forward to for years to come.
This Walt Disney World Resort vacation was filled with a couple of firsts for us.
Animal Kingdom
You are probably thinking that you have seen that we have visited numerous times (and I have) but believe it or not, there are plenty of attractions we have yet to experience, be it because of the long queues or just plain running out of time.
This time, we scratched two more attractions off of our list: Navi’ River Journey and UP! A Great Bird Adventure.
Na’vi River Journey
Na’vi River Journey is a graceful ride that allows to take in all of the sights and sounds of the bioluminescent rainforest and the Na’vi Shaman of Songs.
When you arrive, you are totally immersed in Pandora – The World of Avatar. Matter of fact, it’s hard to imagine that you are smack dab in the middle of Animal Kingdom Theme Park in Florida. Check it out!
Look at the amazing sights that you will see while you experience Na’vi River Journey. I am still in awe!
Usually, I am a Walt Disney World thrill-ride lover but we appreciated this attraction just the same.
UP! A Great Bird Adventure
I do not know what I was expecting, but this show was a stunning display of all the hard work of the cast members, bird handlers, and the birds. I loved the colors, the birds and the flow of the show. It was so much fun.
Check out a quick glimpse of what you will experience:
In addition, Animal Kingdom possesses even more attractions that are suitable for the entire family. Each visit to Animal Kingdom Theme Park includes the scheduling of some of our personal favorites: Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, and Dinosaur. Too bad we only had the day experience it all again, but rest assured, we’ll be back soon.
Sadly, our journey did not take us to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to experience the new Toy Story Land. The Toy Story Land grand opening doesn’t occur until after we return home from this vacation, June 30, 2018. I am now trying to figure out our next visit to Walt Disney World Resort so that we can experience Toy Story Land for ourselves. If only they had the opening while we were in town, that would have been wonderful. Next time for sure!
Before I leave you, can we discuss the resorts we experienced on this trip? Every time we visit we make it a point to stay at more than one resort because quite honestly we have a desire to experience all of the resorts, which I believe we have done as of this trip.
We began our journey at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort and it has been years since we have stayed here. Once we arrived, we knew that we had arrived for the start of our Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
After our night in Disney’s All-Star Resort, we headed to Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge where we loved our stay in the Delux Studio and the 1-bedroom villa. OMG!! It was absolutely spectacular!
The 1-bedroom Villa was spacious and included all the amenities one will need with a resort of this magnitude. Here are a few snapshots of the villa. What I found the most intriguing was the fun way to open our door. We did have possession of our MagicBands but you can also use the Bluetooth feature of your phone to unlock the door as long as you have the My Disney Experience app installed and linked.
Ahhh!!! Don’t you just love that sound?
We are DVC Members and needless to say, this was an excellent use of those points if you ask me. While we were staying at Copper Creek Villas we decided to take a sneak peek at the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Wow, Wee!
As soon as I get enough points (or extra funds) we WILL be staying there for at least two nights. I showed my family back home the photos and they said if and when I get access to the Cabins, they are coming along. That is the goal… fingers crossed.
Walt Disney World Resort will always hold a place in our hearts for years to come even if we just go to enjoy the resorts and hang out by the pool. It is that kind of place!
Until Next Time!
