A HUGE Thank You to Mazda USA for the use of the Mazda CX-9! All photos and opinions associated with this post are my own.
We recently traveled to Orlando, FL for a mini-vacation before our cruise vacation and just like our other visits to the city, we wanted to experience some new activities in the city. Thankfully, we had the 2018 Mazda CX-9 to take us where we wanted to go on our journey.
Our time in Orlando began with a late arrival into the city and of course a late check-in.
The next morning we were on our way and packed the trunk to head to the next resort. I am a fan of trunk space and this car had enough space with plenty of room to spare.
After we checked in to our new resort, it was time to move on to our next endeavor… FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course. Ever since the announcement was made that this would be a new family-friendly activity that my entire family could participate in, we were so there.
A bit of advice before I proceed… If you are going to indulge in this activity, I would suggest making your reservation later in the day so that the sun won’t be beaming down on you. The earliest time to play is 1:00 PM (the time we had) and it was really hot.
Having said all of that, we had a great time. We arrived at the “FootGolf” building and the attendant was nice enough to explain the game for us in detail. He then issued the soccer balls and told us to have fun. I will admit, this is not my best sport, but my daughter and husband excelled.
While we didn’t finish the entire course because of the rising temperature, we did get far enough to know that we will be doing this again. Check out some photos of our experience.
The Mazda CX-9 came in handy when it came to the errands we needed to run from lunch to a store run for groceries and supplies. I loved the handling of this vehicle and often was in awe of the smooth ride.
Another reason we appreciated the 2018 Mazda CX-9 was because we were able to “sneak” over to another theme park in the area… Sea World Orlando!
Because my husband is a military veteran, we got the free Waves of Honor tickets which meant it was a great opportunity to visit a new theme park while we were in the area. We had so much fun! The lush green landscape was beautiful and it provided some wonderful shade from the elements.
The attractions are interesting and I love a good thrill ride, but not any that go upside down. Having said that, our kids loved them.
Who doesn’t love an aquarium! We visited two of the aquariums that are in the park and though they are small in size they are packed with lots of sea life and beautiful surroundings.
Overall, Sea World Orlando was filled with lots of attractions and I can see why it is a popular choice when families visit the city. We’ll be back!
Let’s talk about the important features of the car.
The Mazda CX-9 has a roomy driver seat that cradles the driver. The seating throughout the vehicle is so comfortable and felt like it was contoured just for us. At first glance, this car looks like a high-end luxury vehicle with a unique look that will make heads turn. I know that others were impressed with the car based on some the comments we got while we were out and about. It’s an attractively smooth ride with seating for 7 individuals with the available third-row seating.
Check out how stylish this ride is.
The Heads up display contains lots of information from Navigation to detailed song inclusions (and you know I love my tunes). Also, another feature of the heads up display was the way you can control it. Near the console, you will find a round button that controls the features of the display. It was so easy to manipulate through the screen. I might have played with this feature more than I should have.
The car’s safety features put my mind at ease from the crystal clear Rearview camera to the Smart City Brake Support to the Side-impact door beams and the Tire-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Definitely a ride I would like to experience again.
Have you had the pleasure of experiencing the 2018 Mazda CX-9? If so, what are your thoughts?
Until Next Time!
